I finally found William Edward Reynolds in the 1870 Census. The name Chs Reynolds was difficult to read...it was obviously written REYNOLDS, then the Chas, was scrooched in sideways....anybody looking in an index would never have looked for the spelling Chs...but the CD Rom showed ages and I guessed at him from his age, which would be ca 35. We are fortunate in this household. This kooky census taker generally showed the wife as Mrs. Jones....and gave her no first name. So we were lucky that Eliza is here to positively identify her and him. William Edward would be the next child born, after the census, 11-70.
