I am a descendant of Jeremiah's older sister, Elizabeth Daniel, b. 1831 in Shelby County IL. On 6 August 1850, she married Andrew Jackson Rogers in Shelby County and at the young age of 18 became stepmother of 8 children. Andrew and Elizabeth became parents of 10 additional children. They are my great grandparents. The only census record that I have found that specifically lists Mary (Rice) Daniel is in 1850 Shelby Co. Her birth place in the census is listed as TN. However, I have a copy of the death certificate of their daughter, Jane (Daniel) Brown and it lists the mother's birth place as Alabama. I was told by one researcher that Jeremiah's death certificate lists her birth place as Alabama, also. I think I found one other of their siblings who listed Alabama on a census record. I'll have to check that out. I am about 99% certain that the father of Jonas Daniel and his many siblings is Josiah Daniel, b. 1784 in NC. Are you working on that also? I would like very much to trade information. I have put together some lists that I have sent to other Daniel researchers. Will it be all right if I send to your e-mail address? Do you have things such as Jonas Daniel's 2nd marriage to Frances (Rogers) Fanning Phillips? She was a sister of Andrew J. Rogers. If it is all right to e-mail, let me know, or we can post through the message board if you prefer. Mary in Oklahoma

Rich, I am interested in getting one zone only, since my family was in various places, all in zone 6. I am NOT interested in having my credit card info online, as I have been phished on more than one occasion. (I didn't bite.) Is it possible to order this via snail mail and pay with a check? Does one zone fit on a floppy, or on a CD? Thanks, Doris Waggoner Seattle -- atlas@insightbb.com wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I have a Proctor relative who worked on the railroad during that time but do not know which railroad. So far Genealogy.com, Ancestry.com, Gen Web, and Family Search have not shown anything.
