    1. Re: [ILSHELBY] Tower Hill website???
    2. That would be great! My wife's grandfather, Daniel Crawford Ward, was alleged to be a licensed Lay Minister in the Tower Hill Methodist Episcopal Church. He died in Tower Hill in 1931 at age 85. Other Wards and were involved in that church also. All Tower Hill information would be greatly appreciated by many. Thank you! Ron Eagan

    3. Ron, My 1900 Directory for the Tower Hill M. E. Church lists D.C. Ward as a member. There is a picture of him also! Let me know if you want it. I can scan an email it to you. 3. I know I should have paid more attention to the subject shown, but didn't, especially since it is Shelby County. Where is Tower Hill in proximity to ~ say ~ Stewardson, Effingham, Mode and that general vicinity. Trying to figure out if any of my names might be in that "area" ~ I have PONSLER, SHUMARD, ROLEY, YAKEY, MANHART, WILLIAMS, AUGENSTINE/AUGENSTEIN, BRECKENRIDGE for a few ~ and of course I have a baby brother buried in the Stewardson Cemetery back in 1933. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington) [email protected]

    3. Ruth, There is a Warren Turner listed as one of those from Tower Hill that enlisted at the beginning of the Civil War. That is all I have. Sorry. 3. The original WHITE family that I have in IL was there prior to 1850 but the father's name was Humphrey WHITE, he also had a son Humphrey WHITE who married Elizabeth "Lizzie" LAWLER. Humphrey & Lizzie's son Arthur born 1875 was my stepfather (father of 7 of my siblings). He was born in Decatur, Macon County, but had a dairy in Stewardson in the 30's possibly before, delivered milk to surrounding communities. Was a County Road Commissioner in the mid 30s also. Many strange things have been going on this past week and I think this might be included <grin>????? Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington) [email protected]

    1. [ILSHELBY] Blank Emails
    2. Tiffany
    3. <<Why am I getting dozens of these same e-mails???>> You are getting the blank emails because the person that is emailing them to the list thinks she is getting them in error. So for some unknown reason she is replying to them all and they are blank. I sent her a message and gave her unsubscribe instructions. I hope she follows it. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.281 / Virus Database: 149 - Release Date: 9/18/2001
