Burchard Chapman (b. 1824 NY/Mass). I do not know when or where they died or where they are buried. Below are the last records (census) I have for this couple. Angelia was 20 years younger than David, and may have married after his death. They are my Great-great grandfather and mother. A daugher, Minerva Chapman Murphy (b. 19 Apr, 1830)(d. 31 Mar 1912 Rushville, Schuyler, IL and is buried in Brooklyn Cemetery, Row 7, old part). Minerva is the first child of David, (b. 1808 NY) and his first wife, Eliza Harris Chapman. That is how she knows about David Chapman. Dolores corresponds with a descendant of Edward Ridenour who lived next door to Allen Murphy. This person did not know of Chapman, but sent Dolores her paperwork. Edward Ridenour's wife was Nancy Jane Quick. Benjamin Raymond, son of Uriah Raymond, and family moved to Reno county, KS about 1880. Benjamin Raymond's daughter, Fridelle, married Clarence Murphy. Dolores says she does not know if any Allen Murphys or Chapmans went to Kansas in the wagon train with the Raymonds. Hutchison (sister) and Martha Stewart (niece). Margaret died in Quincy, IL in 1920 and is buried in Augusta, Hancock, IL. David died in Rock Island IL in 1935 and is buried in Iowa.
