Even if the volume were such that a courthouse could hire a person to handle the load, before doing that they would probably just say "no more". Copying for genealogists is really a courtesy, isn't it?. Someplaces you have to state why and which relation you are in order to get copies - and only if they deem it necessary. We _are really fortunate to have such wonderful, understanding people who work at the Schuyler courthouse. I've only gotten copies when its absolutely necessary, because most of the original books have been filmed by the LDS and can be ordered from a family history center. When I lived in Idaho, that's where I got most of my documentation. Never in my wildest dreams did I really believe I would someday live nearby! Ain't life great! Robin
