Hi everyone ~ This is my first time to this list, so wish me luck! My family arrived in Schuyler County in the 1860's. Before, they lived in Vermillion IL, then to IN, then returned to IL, settling in Schuyler. Permelia died not long after his birth in 1884. Uriah then married her sister, Susanna or Sarah (BOX) McHALEY (widow) when he was about 70 or 73 years old. THey lived in these townships: Camden, Brooklyn and Bainbridge. I have found a possible relative in Brown County --- John B. INGRAM who might be the brother of John B.? Of the children of Uriah and Permelia, one was my ggrandmother, Louisa Etta "May" INGRAM, b abt 1879. She is the person I need to find. She was born in Plymouth (Hancock county?) IL. Since her mother died when she was only 7, I assume her grandparents (BOX) raised her? There is no 1890 census, so this makes it tough. I do know that her sister Susan never married, and lived with the BOX's until thier deaths in 1900-1901. They are both buried in the Thompson Cemetery near Littleton. Susan then moved to Grayson County Texas -- no more info known. My ggrandmother Etta "May" INGRAM married Thomas LONGWELL of Knox County IL in 1897 in Washington Co IOWA. They had one son, Charles LONGWELL in 1898 in either Maquon IL or Macomb IL or ?. I have not been able to find a birth record. They had a nasty divorce in 1900 in Knox County and May didn't show up in court to fight for custody of her son. She was never seen again. I did find a marriage record for C. H. WAGNER a potter, to a May INGRAM LONGWELL in 1903 in Monmouth, Warren County IL (not far from Knox County). But I've checked census records and city directories and have not found them again. If anyone has clues to any of the above families, I'd LOVE to share! I hope this stirs up something..... Valerie Boatkitten@aol.com
