    3. Wouldn't it be great. But the cost of hiring someone will stop that type of job from becoming reality. How about a volunteer group who would do the task? They could request a small fee for the expenses of running the group. The people at the Schuyler County Courthouse are a great bunch of people. Some of them have family who volunteer at the Historical Society. You don't find that at most courthouses. I could name a several where they treat you as their worse nightmare. Over the years, some of the people that the Schuyler Courthouse have become almost like friends. I've never wrote them with a request, always have went when I was there. The first day I'm there I go to the courthouse and let them know what I want and let them copying it at their own time, not while I'm standing there. Pay for the copying or at least leave money for what we think it will cost, then leave telling them when I'll check back -- next day or later. On the last day I can pick the copies up, I go and get what is done. One time, my sister and I had pick out about 30 full probates we wanted copied. They couldn't have possibly have copied them in the time we were in Rushville. We left money for the copying and postage. They copied and mailed us the probates and even wrote us that we hadn't left enough many. It took 2 months. Even through copying is part of their job, it's low on the list of what has to be done. Remember "Courtesy" -- "Patience" -- "Understanding" -- of other's circumstances. Sara
