The Bible is a German Lutheran Bible and the text is in German, as well as the listing of births, deaths, etc. As I do not speak German I cannot read it, but I do know that it belonged to a Jesse DANNER and Salma DANNER. The entries were written in the 1840s. If anybody is looking for information that matches this description, please let me know. Inside the bible is a letter addressed to: Andrew MILLER, York Co., PA, dated April 9, 1864 - written in German. On another piece of paper is written "Lidia SUCH. Born May the 3, 1861 and Died April 15, 1865 age three years eleven months and twelve days." "Amanda HAMM, a daughter of Samanda [?] and Conrad HAMM was born the 14 day of November 1864 and diet the 23 day of September 1865. Aged 10 months 4 days."
