I am looking for a Luella STONEKING born on 3 Sep 1878 in Birmingham, Schuyler Co, IL. By the 1880 census she was living with a Lewis ROBINSON was born about 1837 in Virgina, and Lewrana(Lurana?) FRISBE was born about 1842 in Virgina, listed as a cousin. Lewis died on 29 Jul 1883 in Macomb, McDonald Co., IL. His wife was so sick, and they had no money, that she was taken to the county home. Luella was taken in by a Mr & Mrs Charles CREEL. Don't know if she continued to live with them or not after Lurana recovered, She was buried on 23 Feb 1917 in Macomb, IL, but no mention in the Obit of Luella. Luella Married A William Franklin COURTNEY, an in 1889 they had their first child, Robert Ernest COURTNEY was born on 10 Jun 1898 in Elmer, Macon Co., MO. (Robert is my grandfather) Any information on the ROBINSON's CREEL's and what happend to Luella between 1883 and 1889 would be appreciated, as well as, who where Luella's STONEKING parents!!! Don't let her name fool you as I have x names for her so far: She was also known as Lula Belle, Lella Esteline, Lu Ellen, LouL., Lulu, as well as Luella.
