    3. I am searching in Schuyler county for family, and relatives of the following... Smith H. Miller came to Schuyler Co about 1838 with his wife Permelia Wilmot. Most of the Wilmot's moved to Rushville also, Washington and his wife Mary, her mother Jemina or Jemima, these are Permelias parents and grandmother, they are buried in Rushville. Several Wilmot brothers also came to Rushville. Smith and Permelia's children: James W (Washington) Miller born Jan 23,1840 in Rushville Marion Wilmot Miller born 1845 in Rushville Phebe Ann Miller born 1849 in rushville James married Sarah J. Johnson Sept. 3, 1867 Rushville Marion married Marietta Underwood Dec 10, 1868 Rushville Phebe married Lesley Johnson Mar 7, 1867 Rushville I am searching for information on James and Sarah Millers family, his obituary says his funeral was at the home of his daughter Mrs. William Steinkamp in Quincy, Ill. He is buried at Greenmount Cemetary. I have extensive information on the Marion and Marietta marriage. Marietta Underwood is a daughter of Benjamin Franklin Underwood and Mary Jane Ford. I could certainly use some help tracking the Underwood's, I have the Fords connected, and will gladly share. Marion and Marietta's children: Maude Ella born August 26, 1869 married Thomas Hester Myrtle Lola born June 6, 1871 married John W. Corman Myla born 1873 married James Offill Custis M. (Marion?) born 1875...need help Bert Franklin born October8, 1876 married Bertha May Garlick This is my grandparents..I have extensive information on the Garlick side of this. Mable Permelia born June 12, 1879, died at the age 16. Blair born March 1882, lived in Pendleton, Oregon Grover C. born Sept 29, 1885 died at 19 years old Scott born September 1888 lived in Bakersfiled, California Monta born 1891, married Vincent Bloxem, lived in Bakersfield, Ca All of the above children were born in Rushville. The Garlicks....John Wesley Garlick was born in NY and moved with his family to Schuyler Co. John married in Morgan County, ILLINOIS an orphan named Sarah Elizabeth BRIGGS, probably a daughter of Daniel H. Briggs and Tabitha Donely from Louisiana. I can find this family in Catahoula Parish in the 1860 census, with one other dauther listed as M.E...maybe Emmy?. John and Sarah lived their married life in Rushville, and had the following children: Elvira born about 1873, died young no records Franklin William born December 10, 1876 never married (bootleger) Nellie born August 30, 1878 married John Greer Ernest and Edward - twins - May 23, 1881 Ernest married Myrtle Webster Edward married Beulah Messer Rosa (Rosella?) born about 1883 married William White Bertha May born April 4, 1885 ** my grandmother John and Jennie born November 16, 1886 ..died young..no record may have been named Charles and Clara..two sources..different names for this last set of twins. Sarah divorded John and 2nd married Charles Edward Carroll and had more children.. Louis Carroll Lola Carroll Harvey Earl Carroll Hazel Phae Carroll..I have contact with a granddaughter.. Charles Edward and Sarah Briggs Garlick Carroll are buried in Rushville. A long list of wanteds, and I would be willing to share all that I have to a relative or if you even think you are related.
