Looking for information on the families of Samuel SCHAFFER and Harriet EMERICK(H). Harriet was from Virginia. Thier daughter was Eliza Jane was born on April 16, 1837 in Springfield. She married John Wesley LAWYER. They had six children. Nancy, Amanda, William, Dora, Tinee, and Henry. Nancy was my gggrandmother. Nancy married a man named SHAW. They had one daughter, Lida.
