Hello, Can anyone give me any information on the surname Scripps, most particular G.H. Scripps, around the time of 1849. From research, I've found that the name Scripps is fairly prominent in Schuyler County. I do know that some of the Scripps had one of the local news-papers, but I haven't be able to find any information on G.H., as to him or his profession.
