BILLINGSLEY--Descendant through Robert Joe Billingsley and Mary Ann Billingsely Phillips Perkins, both children of Joseph and Sarah Warfield Billingsley, settled 1851. BEGHTOL--Descendant of John and Nancy Beghtol, listed on 1850 Schuyler Co Census; John was brother to Henry Beghtol of McDonough Co and cousin to Peter of Schuyler. MORRIS--Descendant of Edward Page Morris, Civil War vet of PA who moved to Schuyler and married Nancy Linnia Aten. I have new info on Edward's mother, Christianne Clymer Morris if interested. PHILLIPS--Descendant of Asahel and Hannah Nixon Phillips of Harrison Co, VA (WV) and Hardin Co, KY; Asahel's brother was Samuel who md. Amy Martin. BROWN--This is a Fulton Co line which married into the Grewells, Cooks, Hess, and Pollock families. Some descendants of Rachel Brown Billingsley and Savilla Brown Cook live in Schuyler. WALKER--Descendant of Stephen and Emily Fletcher Walker, immigrants from England. Stephen's sons James and Charles were b. in England. Stephen's brother Samuel came over as well. Richard Day, of England was a nephew. FRY--Descendant of Daniel H. and Catharine Bear Fry. Daniel received War of 1812 bounty land in Brown/Schuyler Co. MONTOOTH--Descendant of James and Jane Dean Montooth, natives of Killeybeggs, Donegal County, Ireland. TERMIN--(Also spelled Turman) John and Susanna Baker Termin of Fulton/Schuyler Co, IL. John died ca 1862, murdered by a claim jumper in land rush!! Susan md. a Stengel; he divorced her. She then md. Garrett Roberts. ATEN-ALLISON--Descendant of Robert Aten and Mary Jane Allison. ACKMAN-HARMON--Descendant of Isaac Ackman and Nancy Harmon of Kenton/Campbell Co KY. GREEN--Descendant of Henry Green, Revolutionary War veteran, through his son Samuel who md. Caroline Trainer, daughter of James Trainer. Sam and Caroline were the third couple md. in Schuyler by Levin Green. SLOAN-HUMPHREYS--Descendant of James Sloan and Elizabeth Humphreys. I now live about 40 minutes from Princeton, Gibson Co, IN where James Sloan naturalized and Elizabeth Humphreys was born. SHAVER--Descendant of Lewis and Catharine Shaver of New Madrid Co, MO, to Schuyler in 1840s. Lewis is listed on 1850 Mortality schedule. This family followed the Hales to Schuyler from New Madrid. These are my Schuyler lines. I was fortunate to have lived in Rushville and to have caught the genealogy bug at an early age (15). I spent a lot of summers combing over books in the Schuyler Jail Museum. But, every time I go back, I find something new. Dann Norton
