Dave, I'm not sure yet. John Crowder was a member and trustee of this Springfield church, in April 1830, and in August 1830 he was one of the charter members of a new church, also called Springfield Church, in the village of Springfield. About seven years later, this church in Springfield went into the "mission system" and is now the Central Baptist church in downtown Springfield. The only Sangamon Association minutes for this period I have found are 1823 and 1828, and then May 1831 and later are intact. If I find anything I will be glad to share it. I'm trying now to find the deed again, to find the exact location.
