Thanks. I'm trying to locate Bethel church near Cantrall, which (unless I've misunderstood the early minutes of the Sangamon Association) was originally called Bethel on Otter Creek. Guess a creek name could have been changed after 1831. I know there must be an Otter Creek in the vicinity of Girard, in Macoupin co., but I couldn't find anything in the area of Cantrall either, but I am not good at geography and not being on the web I don't have access to the several maps that have been mentioned. Thanks again for your efforts to help me. I'm beginning to think the church itself might have been moved, as far as its place of meeting (not that a building moved).
