    3. Hi, Margarette, yes, I remember you, nice to hear from you again, anytime. I have promised another person that I will try to find the sketch and the obituary of Elder Robert Bagby (1811-1845) and post it on here, hopefully it will be next week sometime. Elder Brice Alsbury may have been a brother to Elder John Alsbury (who once ran for office against Lincoln), I'm not sure, anyway Elder Brice Alsbury was born in 1805 and died in Arkansas in 1894. Yes, I think this church was probably pretty close to Liberty. I'll check again on David Simms, had forgotten he was in Ten Mile, but knew he had moved to Morgan or Pike, somewhere and I think I have him listed in several churches. My notes on George Davenport say that he came to Sangamon County in 1819, and was first a member of Sangamo Church (org. in 1820) which was later called Richland. It was also in close proximity to Liberty and Spring Creek. I'm sure it will be a relief to a lot of the people on this list if I ever get my research done and move on. ha. If only the old records had all survived, I wouldn't have this problem of trying to dig out the history.
