Posted on: Sangamon County, Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Il/Sangamon/1960 Surname: SPAULDING, BURROUGHS, BURROWS ------------------------- My great-grandfather Albert Starr Spaulding lived in Springfield IL from 1866 when he was born there until at least 1902 when his son, my grandfather, Easton Ewing Spaulding, was born there. At some point before 1935, the entire family moved to California from Springfield. My great-great grandfather James Benedict Spaulding was the first to move to Springfield from Caneadia, Allegany County NY some time between 1854-1866 with his wife Cynthia Ewing. I seek any social history, family info on these Spauldings. I also seek info on Albert Starr Spaulding's wife Nellie L. Burrows/Burroughs. They were married 1/15/1890 in--it is written--Canton MO--but Canton IL makes a lot more sense. Thanks
