Hello Listers My limited research on my Burke and Likens lines has lead me to Buffalo Hart in Sanagamon County. Marriage records and census reports have identified Likens, Burkes, and Vandorens families of Buffalo Hart as being closely related. The Likens can also be shown as having been associated with the Hanks and Lincolns of Macon County, Illinois and Spencer County, Indiana. Kesiah Likens can be found in the records of the Little Pigeon Church, Spencer County, Ind. at the same time as the Thomas Lincoln family, and I believe she is the same Kesiah Likens in the 1870 Sagamon County census. My inquiry is, does anyone have information on these families as well as any information on the community of Buffalo Hart?
