In an old newspaper clipping from May 29, 1906, telling about his 60th wedding anniversary I found the following: "Here he followed agricultural pursuits in summer and the winter of 1863-64 founded what was known as the “Old Kentucky” school, about three miles southwest of Pawnee." Can anyone tell me anything about this "school"? How long was it in existence? Was it a church related school?, etc.
