My Shetters are the same as Brandi describes. Miniza Jane Shetter or Jennie M. Shetter was my paternal great-aunt. She married William J. Cassidy in 1886 in Sangamon Co. IL. Miniza was the daughter of Solomon Shetter b. 1822 in Overton TN and Rebeca Workman b. 1830 in Sangamon Co. IL(as far as I can tell). They had 14 children 10 or 11 of whom were born after they moved from Overton TN to Sangamon Co. IL. What is unclear so far in my research is exactly where Solomon Shetter was born and to whom. I have seen references to his father being Solomon, but anything that any one could furnish to shed more light would be appreciated. I have no idea whether there were siblings and I am sure that there were. All help would be appreciated. Linda Hampton
