Johnson b:Abt 1834. They both were from Russell Co.,KY and Casey Co.,Ky. Richard Sharp may have been involved in the lumber business and he went to Sangamon Co.,IL. I have search the websites for the above counties in KY, I have had no luck in finding any info on them. I am doing my family genealogy and I would appreciate any info I get. Their known children are: James Henry md Elizabeth Lane, Malissa md Martin Redman,Willis Elmore md Rosie Black, John C. md Laura T. Lane (sister to Elizabeth Lane), William Thomas md Mary Elizabeth Richeson (my gr gandparents.)I have confirmed some of their chilren marriages in Green, KY. But I have found no info on Richard and Elizabeth. I hope by posting to IL, I may find more info. I believe he is a decentant of Isham Sharp md Lucy (?) moved to IL (Pike or Sangamon Co.), Hester Sharp b: 1827KY, md John Pointer moved to Sangamon Co.,Eliza Jane Sharp b: 1830KY md William W. Yates moved to Sangamon Co.,John Sharp md Nancy Manker in Pike Co.,IL,William Sharp md Mary Ann Johnson moved to Sangamon Co.,Richard Sharp md Elizabeth F. Johnson or he married Nancy Jane Johnson ?, moved to Sangamon Co, James Sharp, Temperance (Tempy) Caroline Sharp living with McCaffrey family in Russell Co.,KY. Melissa Sharp md John Pointer in Pike Co, then moved to Sangamon Co. This family was last seen as a "unit" in the 1850 Barren Co.,KY census. This is my theory of the connection of Richard Sharp to Isham Sharp, but I need help in trying to proof this. It is to my knowledge a "forgotten" family.
