Hi Brenda, I'm not sure if the book you seek is actually titled "Early Settlers of Sangamon County - 1876". But if it is all of the biographies from that book are online at the Sangamon County USGenWeb site. You will find an entry therein for a Turner Holland who had a son named William H.H. born October 28, 1840. You can check out the information for your self at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilsangam/sangamon.htm Then select the link for Index and Biographies from 1876 History. Find Turner Holland in the index and click on the page number. You will find the biography I mentioned. You might also want to check the biography of Asa Canterbury since it was the daughter of his son, Carlisle H. that married William H. H. Holland. H.H. Holland is also mentioned in the biography of Levi Cantrall. The entire book is online at www.genealogylibrary.com - however, that site is a subscription site so it might be better to borrow the book from a library if you want to see if there is more information about William H.H. Holland in the book. Sometimes the book contains interviews with some of the people living in 1876. Hope that he'ps some ... g.mo Morris Myers -----Original Message----- From: Brenda Nimick [mailto:ebnimick@vcn.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2000 5:18 PM To: ILSANGAM-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILSANGAM-L] "Settlers of Sangamon County, Illinois" Posted on: Sangamon County, Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Il/Sangamon/1657 Surname: Holland ------------------------- My great great Grandfather, William Henry Harrison Holland, left Sangamon County in 1881 and moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where the family has remained. I am looking for information on a book, "Settlers of Sangomon County, Illinois", published in 1876. Are there still copies for sale? Or is it possible to have copies of the Holland history? ______________________________
