    3. I'm new to this list. I hope that someone can help me. I am looking for the marriage record of the Brother and wife of my Greatgrandfather. They were John McIntosh and Caroline Falkel. They were married 02 Sept. 1871 in Sangamon Co. I am hoping to find the names of their parents and birth places.     3. Yes, I found a listing on the Illinois State Archives Marriage Database for them with a date of October 2, 1871 in Sangamon County, License #004/0478. You may obtain a copy of the marriage record index or the marriage license (probably in ledger form for the county) from IRAD--University of Springfield. The address is: IRAD-Lib 144 University of Illinois at Springfield P.O. Box 19243 Springfield, IL 62794-9242 At that early a date, no parents would be listed on the marriage license, but the name of the clergyman and denomination would be listed. You may also try the court house in Springfield: Sangamon County Clerk 200 S. 9th Street Room 101-County Building Springfield, IL 62701 The charge at IRAD is 10 cents per copy with a minimum of $1.00 charged. It will be more at the courthouse, but I am not sure how much.
