Posted on: Sangamon County, Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Sangamon/1799 Surname: BROSNAN, BROSNAHAN, BRESNAN, BRESNAHAN ------------------------- I am researching a very large group of Bresnahans and variations of the name who came to America in 1852 from Castleisland, Co.Kerry and settled in Columbus, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois. I found on the Illinois GenWeb a listing for a BERNARD WILLIAM BROSNAN who is buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery at Sangamon Co. Illinois. He was born May 16, 1920 and died May 2, 1972. He was a private in the U.S. Army. He rests in Plot E O 1407. I have good reason to believe he may be a part of one of the branches of my family. Is there any kind soul that could possibly look up an obit for him? Can anyone tell me how to find out more about him from the Cemetery or the Military? Thank you so much for any help you can provide. Nancy Sullivan NSull7@aol.com
