Hello all. I just thought I would send out a reminder that the Sangamon County Genealogical Society office library is open on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 9:00. Stop on by and view this treasure trove of genealogical resources. We have surname files, obituary files, birth, marriage and death records on microfilm for Sangamon County and census film 1830-1920, Auburn Citizen 1874-1974, Virden Recorder 1910s-1940s, Petersburg newspaper 1880s to 1900 and Taylorville Breeze 1880s. (These items can be viewed on the reader but we have no printing capabilities at this time.) We also have a good variety of printed materials on counties throughout Illinois including a big selection on Sangamon County. Stop by and have a look. See you Wednesday night.
