Clara, I have a Reeves girl who lived NW of Springfield in Gardner Township. She married an Irwin some time before the 1850 census so her name doesn't show up with her living with her parents. I don't know her husband's name and I'm not really sure of her 1st name. Ailsey could be a nickname for Alice or even Elizabeth...like Elsie is. Ailsey was a daughter of Alexander Reeves and Effie Cummins of Gardner Twp in Sangamon Co. She was widowed or divorced by the time of her father's property was sold in 1864 and she was listed as Ailsey Irwin. She lived in Pleasant Plains, Sangamon Co. at that time. She no doubt had several Irwin children but I can't identify them. Unfortunately the 1860 census taker just used peoples' initials and not their full names. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
