Obituary - Illinois State Journal, Springfield, Illinois, 7 February 1941 Timothy Brittin Fatally Stricken Funeral Services To Be Held Tomorrow Williamsville, Feb. 7 - Timothy E. Brittin, 72, well known farmer and landowner of this community, died suddenly Thursday morning of a heart attack at his home three miles south of Williamsville. Mr. Brittin had returned home from Williamsville where he had visited several business places and was sitting in his home when death occurred. Decedent was born Oct. 13, 1868, on a farm north of Williamsville, a son of Evans and Elizabeth Brittin. For thirty-five years he resided in Springfield, coming back and forth to look after his farm interests. Eight years ago he moved back to his present home. He was a member of Lovely Lodge, No. 203 AF&AM of Williamsville, and the Shriners of Springfield. Surviving are his wife, Ada, and one brother, Wilbur R. Brittin, of Springfield. The body was removed to the Mott and Sons Funeral Home at Athens and will be returned here Saturday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsville Methodist Church, Rev. E. H. Duling officiating. Interment will be in Fancy Creek cemetery.
