I am on the fence on this one. I do like free but there are cost involved maintaining that much data on an internet server. I did not post my tree directly I shared with a cousin, I found this cousin through a message board he posted my file under his name. I do look at family trees online, some do have sources but not many. I use them as a hint where to look next. I try to verify with online census, death and IRAD. I do like the WWI & WWII draft card info on Ancestry.com pages. I spent the last 3 days visiting Springfield and county clerks in 5 counties. Looking for birth, marriage and death certs, a few walks through cemeteries. A new twist, most counties I went to, all I could do was fill out a form and was told a volunteer will be in a couple of days they will look it up and mail it if found, I paid $12 per request up front non-refundable. The issue I have with it is it creates a family tree on its own which often has errors in it and there are no source citations. I have not uploaded to rootsweb and don't plan to. I think the best way to share information is through message boards or mailing lists. Kathleen
