    3. http://www.ancestry.com/learn/contentcenters/contentCenter.aspx?page=trees NOTE: Family trees submitted to RootsWeb.com (WorldConnect) and Ancestry (Ancestry World Tree and Online Family Tree) have been merged into one master database, which can be viewed from either site. Why do I find my RootsWeb WorldConnect file in the Ancestry World Tree? The Ancestry World Tree database nearly doubled in size through the combination with WorldConnect, a similar project hosted by RootsWeb. With this merge there has been some duplication of files for users who had submitted to both the Ancestry World Tree and WorldConnect. If you have duplicate files from submitting to both databases you will simply want to remove one of the files. ~~~~ If Ancestry can *STEAL* the Family GedCom files we uploaded to Rootsweb, (a FREE website) - how long do you think it’s going to be, before we have to PAY to see All the information we‘ve uploaded to Rootsweb? 3. Online Family Tree is not free now and never has been. The issue I have with it is it creates a family tree on its own which often has errors in it and there are no source citations. I have not uploaded to rootsweb and don't plan to. I think the best way to share information is through message boards or mailing lists.
