    3. I just searched WorldConnect at Rootsweb free. It's always a possibility that the parent company will charge for Rootsweb. Nothing in the world is guaranteed except departure from it. But they have said from day one that they wouldn't and they have shown no signs of doing it. They continue to provide extensive free space to Rootsweb and genealogy. Should Ancestry be sold to another company I don't know what would happen. Bottom line is simple: if you don't wish to upload to WorldConnect don't do it. No one should be looking at the online family histories as fact anyway. Those with sources generally refer to such useless ones as WFT and the LDS contributed database which is no better than any other contributed database. Cheryl Rothwell

    3. I think that everyone should submit their research to Rootsweb if they want to help others. I did it so other researchers might find their connections to their ancestors. I have my census records right in the person's "facts." Check out Rootsweb's WorldConnect to see what I'm talking about. Go to W.C. and look up Marcena Vance, her parents and her siblings to see what I'm talking about. What I was complaining about is they gathered ~some~ of my research but not all of it....and it is from a two year old database on W.C. They didn't take it from the 1 year old one. They also used only 10 of the twelve children of James Vance and Barbara Miller even though they and their children and their grandchildren were in the database they took the material from. My cousin has the same information online, actually two do, but one is so screwed up I'm glad they didn't use his. Carole
