Hello all, This email is to remind you of the Sangamon County Genealogical Society's weekly Wednesday night researching night. We open at 5:30pm at 2856 South 11th Street in Springfield and close at 9:00pm. If no one arrives by 8:00, then we will close for the evening. The Office Library will be closed on the following Wednesdays: 24 November 2004, 22 December 2004, 29 December 2004, 09 February 2005, 06 July 2005, 02 November 2005, 23 November 2005, 21 December 2005, 28 December 2005 Yesterday the print committee completed the collating and stapling of the Circuit Rider. The quarterly will be sent out sometime this week. Remember, it is time to renew your subscription to the Circuit Rider. Dues are $15.00 per single membership, $1.00 per additional member at the same address and $150.00 for life memberships. Donations to the equipment fund are always welcome. This quarter includes the society's membership list, our genealogist's report, ancestor charts of Irene Frelin, Mary Katheryn Clinton and siblings and Marilyn Bates, also included is Novice's Nook Part 6, an update on the obituary files, a biographical article on Mrs. Marie M. Chenoweth of Williamsville, plans and terms of court house to be built in Springfield in 1826, a listing of from the soldiers monument in Oak Ridge Cemetery as well as our publication list. The meeting is held at Springfield's Public Library, the Lincoln Library in the main building on 7th & Capital at 7:00. Parking in the lower level is now well lighted and free to the public after 4:30pm. We will also have an Open House/Research Day on Saturday 4 December 2004 from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
