The Sangamon County Genealogical Society would like to thank the following people who helped in the Open House event conducted today: Jay Hunsley, Lori and Tom Little, Keith Norris and Judy Reeves. We had around thirty people both, familiar and new, faces show up at the society office. A good time was had by all, especially those who got to sample Lori's famous snickerdoodles! Thanks once again to all who participated in the even. Our next event will be the society's seventh annual White Elephant/Book Sale, Saturday 9 June 2001 from 9:00 A. M. to 3:00 P. M. at the society office 2856 South 11th Street, Springfield, Illinois. Everyone is invited to visit with fellow genealogy enthusiasts and purchase the many publications that will be available.
