    1. [ILSANGAM] Family Research Nights at the Sangamon County Genealogical Society Office
    2. Welcome to 2007. The Sangamon County Genealogical Society is opening its doors on Tuesday nights this year so that all levels of family researchers can access our treasure trove of research materials. We have birth (1860-1910s), marriage (1821-1925) and death (1877-1940s) records on microfilm for Sangamon County which have been partially indexed. We also have the 1830-1920 census for Sangamon County on film and 1830-1880 census indexed in paper form. Additionally we have deed record books on film up to the 1840s, the Auburn Citizen (1874-1964), Taylorville Breeze 1880s, Petersburg newspapers 1860s and Virden Recorder 1912-1920s. We have also collected several obituaries and have put together a variety of surname files too numerous to list in this email. We will be open on the following Tuesdays January 10, 17, 24, and February 7, 14, 21, 28. Please feel free to come by the office and learn more about our resources. This is an opportunity for all to receive one on one consultations with people who have been in genealogy for many years. We hope to see you at the office in 2007!
