I understand the KNOTTS family in Sangamon IL started in VA. My KNOTTS family started in VA, but then moved to ST Mary's MD in 1651. A short time later a son of James KNOTT moved to Queen Anne's co, where my gg-grandfather, Andrew KNOTTS, was b in 1770. My g-grandfather WM ,b 1805, QA co, MD, and his younger brother, Joseph, b QA co, 1812 went to IL in the early 1840's. WM and his second wife Sylvia WILSEY went to Oregon in 1845. They settled in Benton co Oregon in 1848. I'm interested in finding out if the two KNOTTS families are related. Some of the QA co KNOTTS' moved to DE., and on to WV. Bob KNOTTS
