Looking for any information on Philip SCHELP who came to Sangamon Co. in about 1880. His children were Henry Schelp, William Schelp, Hanna Schelp, and George Schelp. Hanna married William Schmidt and moved to Montgomery Co. William's children were born in Sangamon Co. but moved to NE. Henry married Augusta Fricke and moved to Montgomery Co. Hi Donna, The name SCHELP caught my eye as my cousin married an Oliver Schelp and they lived in New Berlin. Oliver is the son of George according to the Obit below. My cousin was Ivarene Stratton. Below is all the info I have on them other than the Stratton lineage. They did not have any children. Ivarene died at age 42 and Ollie remarried (see obit). Two daughters might belong to his second wife by another marriage? Hope this helps!
