Obituary - Athens Free Press, 10 December 1943 ANNA MITTS, 51, CANTRALL, DIED FRIDAY AT ST. JOHN'S Anna L. Mitts, 51, wife of Jacob E. Mitts, resident on a farm on route 5 Springfield, which is just south of Cantrall, passed away Friday afternoon at St. John's Hospital where she was a patient. She was born in Fancy Creek township September 22, 1892 and spent her entire life there in the township. She was a daughter of the Late Thomas and Judith Lightfoot Ford. Surviving are her husband, Jacob E.; two sons, Harold E., at home and Dean E., Camp Grant; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Quinn, Gillespie, Mrs. Lillie Ashlock and Mrs. Florence Hamrick, Springfield; and two brothers, Charles Ford, Pawnee, and Ernest Ford, Springfield. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the residence. Rev. D. J. Finley officiated and burial was made in Fancy Creek cemetery.
