Obituary - Athens Free Press, 26 June 1964 CHARLES N. BRITTIN, 92, LONGTIME CANTRALL FRAMER, DIED MONDAY AT 11:00 A.M. Charles N. Brittin, 92, a longtime resident of the Cantrall area and a retired farmer, died in the Americana Nursing Home in Springfield at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Those to survive are the widow, Susan; two sons, Arthur Brittin, of Elgin, and Evans Brittin, of Havana; one brother, Edward Brittin, Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Mott and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Miller, pastor of Washington Street Mission, Springfield, officiated at the burial service with interment being made in Oaklawn cemetery.
