    2. Obituary - Athens Free Press, 26 June 1964 FRED N. KOPP, 72, DIES AT RESIDENCE MONDAY P.M., HAD BEEN MOWING LAWN Fred N. Kopp, 72, longtime resident of Athens, and a retired coal miner, passed away at his home in West Athens last Monday about 6:30 p.m. He had been mowing the lawn when stricken. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Athens Christian Church. At various times he had served as alderman of his ward on Athens City Council. Surviving him are the widow, Ina; three brothers, Ed, of Springfield, Louis of Grand rapids, Mich., and Charles of this city; and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon from the Mott and Son Funeral Home with pastor Charles Embree, of Athens Christian Church, in charge. Burial was made in Hall Cemetery.
