The real estate books in IRAD are large, way to large for normal scanners. A digital camera might work, but would likely take multiple shots of each page to get one page and then stitch them together.. The media lab is just outside the IRAD room and may be able to provide advice. You have to be very careful. The materials are very fragile. Since most of the details are already abstracted, someone would need to prepare some index to the media that cross-references the existing index. It would be great if someone contacted the people at IRAD and worked out the details. If people can transcribe the materials that is also helpful. The old style writing is sometimes difficult to read. Having it transcribed and made available on the Internet would be helpful for many people. This takes time.
