Obituary - Athens Free Press, 24 January 1969 WILLIAM ENGLAND DEAD AT 93 William P. England of R.R. 5, Springfield, died Friday, January 17 at memorial Hospital in Springfield at the age of 93. Mr. England was born January 24, 1875 near Cantrall, the son of Henry and Mary Price England.  He was a member of the Christian Church and a 50 year member of the Sangamon County Farm Bureau. Surviving are one son, Dale England of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Frances) Schott of Peru; and five grandchildren.  His wife, Pearl, preceded him in death on June 7, 1963. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 20 at the Mott and Henning Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Embree officiating.  Burial was in Brittin Cemetery near Cantrall.

Did we ever determine if he is related to the Rev. England in Logan County? I have to think there were a couple England families going but perhaps they have a common ancestor. Cheryl Rothwell
