Obituary - Athens Free Press, 27 December 1946 ELLA CANTRALL, 78, DIES AT ILLIOPOLIS; ILL ONE DAY, FORMER ATHENS RESIDENT Ella C. Cantrall, 78, of Carlinville, wife of the late Levi G. Cantrall, and resident of Athens until about 12 years ago, passed away last Friday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Dora M. Bell, at Illiopolis. She was only ill one day. She was born in Illiopolis, October 20, 1868, the daughter of Sarris and Ruby Ann Norred. She was married in 1887 to Levi G. Cantrall, who preceded her in death 30 years ago. Mrs. Cantrall is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Myra Baldridge, Carlinville; two sons, Guy, San Pedro, Calif., and Wilbur, Geneva; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Kaylor, Springfield, Mrs. Anna Graham and Mrs. Bell, both of Illiopolis; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Athens, Order of Eastern Star, Athens, and the Royal Neighbors, Illiopolis. Remains were removed to the Pritchett Funeral Home, Illiopolis, where services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. C. J. Lotz officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Illiopolis.
