I'm not a Lincoln scholar but have read a bit about his career because it tangentially touches that of one of my ancestors in Sangamon Co. I read a book called "Lincoln's Friends" which gave the address of the family when Lincoln was in the state legislature, as well as at other times. I don't remember if that was in 1854. That book talked about his children, but I don't remember it mentioning where they went to school--that wasn't what I was reading it for. But the family's address might help you. Sorry I don't remember the author, but it is recent, and you could find it Amazon. You can search contents of some books on Amazon, and perhaps this is one of them, since it was widely reviewed when it came out within the last couple of years. Of course if someone on the list can tell you what you need to know, that's more direct!
