    2. Hi Patty, it looks like the late 1800/early 1900, from the dress. I noted that all, or most of the men are wearing some sort of ribbon on the upper left of their jackets. Not many children or young people (on the left hand side). No idea the location but maybe it's a company gathering, or a club/organization/church gathering. Maybe the men were all given some sort of award (I noted that at least one guy, in the front row, was wearing what looked like some sort of medal in addition to the ribbon mentioned above). With the lack of children, I'd don't think it is a family picture; there would certainly be lots of young ones visible. What time period did men where the bowler hat? What type of men wore them? For example, at one time in London, only those who worked in the financial district wore black suits with bowler hats. What type of women could afford to wear hats like the ones shown? Whelp, that's my two-cents worth. Neat picture though. Paul
