In the Springfield, Sangamon County area, I am searching for sources for the following: 1. Where would I look to see if a particular person died during the years 1865-1880? 2. Where would I look for the record of a divorce during this time? 3. Where would I look for the record of an adoption during this time? 4. Where would I look for a record of a person shooting another during this time? 5. Is there a John Kizer family in 1870, 1880, 1890? Census or City Directory? This particular Kizer family would have John, his wife Catharine and at least one child, named Charles who was born abt 1865.
