Ill)who arrived in the USA between 1853 and 1856 (by birth places of children) from Wuertemberg Germany. Christian Haug b. 1 Feb. 1824 d. 23 May 1880 (Xenia, Clay Co. Ill) His first wife (Fredricka Eberlen) died,1864 Springfield and he remarried Lena Bietzer 28 June 1866, in Sangamon Co. He is listed on the Sprinfgield Aug. 6 1860 Census pg. 555 & 556 as a stone mason May direct relative is son: Edward Julius Haug b. 13 Sept. 1872 Springfield, Sangamon, Ill d. 13 Jan. 1922 Cambria, Williamson Co. Ill. Became a Methodist Preacher, died of Diabetic related gangrene from an injury to his hand. m. 18 Sept. 1893 , probably Clay Co. to : Lulu Joplin b. 17 Oct. 1873 Xenia, Clay Co. d. 20 May 1955, Sterling, Logan Co. Colorado.
