Posted on: Sangamon County, Il Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Sangamon?read=1585 Surname: Higgins, Hutchinson ------------------------- My Gr gr gr grandfather N B Higgins was deposited by aliens in Sangamon County, IL just in time to marry Henrietta Huchinson (who we believe was also on that alien craft)in 1836. Anyway, they resided in IL until sometime around 1843-45 when they moved westward to northern MO. On all census records we have been able to locate on this couple, the father ALWAYS refers to himself as N B Higgins. >From family stories that have been passed down to me...N B used to tell all his kids/grandkids that his name was really Napolian Bonaparte Bradley Sadley Dalton Higgins. In a famly bible he is refered to as Napolian and also as Bradley in other places. My great grandmother knew him as Bradley. His tombstone reads N B Higgins. From census records he "claims" to have been born in Indiana, and from his tombstone he would have been born 1816-1817 (numbers are extremely hard to read stating date of death and aged...yrs/mnths/days) Anyway...can anyone help me untangle this mess and perhaps tell me what planet he came from? :) I try to keep a sense of humor about this couple due to all the stories I have heard about them.
