Lucas was raised on a farm in Sangamon County with 10 other children. A brother may have been named Blaine or Walker B. Lucas. Charles married Bertha Beyersdorfer (or Beyersdorffer) in 1900. They had 6 children and moved to Montana in 1914, where their 7th child was born. I can't find anything on Charles except for his marriage in Sangamon Co. I think I'm going to have to break down and WRITE to the county! In my ramblings I have found some causes of death that I don't understand. Does anyone know where there is information that more or less defines the old time diagnoses into today's medical language? Also, seeking information on Eliza Jane Shetter m. Hansen Welsh in abt. 1870+ and Miniza Shetter m. William Casida about the same time--both in Sangamon Co. or thereabouts. They are two of my many brick walls. All help appreciated. Linda Howard Hampton ==== ILSANGAM Mailing List ==== Visit the Sangamon County Home page!
