I have a newspaper photo and article about his death when the ship went down. I can scan it and send it to you as soon as I can get to it. George was a son of Clinton Stevens and Edna Antle of Sangamon Co., IL. They had 4 children, Imogene, Erma, Ruth and George Vernon. George Vernon Stevens was a GG-Grandson of Rev. John Antle and his wife, Elizabeth Buchanan Antle. His Great-Uncle, John Stevens was killed in Vicksburg, MS during the Civil War. I have much more to share, but not sure just how much you want.
