When I came to the Alexander Brown I was curious. I have a John Cathcart who married a Mary Brown in 1828. They named a son Alexander Brown Cathcart. John was born in Armstrong Co. Illinois. I don't know where Mary came from, but I did notice your Browns were in Illinois also.
