    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xg.2ADI/2869.1 Message Board Post: I am not related to this family but believe I found some info that may be of help. Emma Beard, age 53, died 3/20/1888 in Springfield (Sangamon County), IL William Beard may also have died in Springfield but not all deaths prior to 1916 are indexed for the state of Illinois. Obits for Springfield, Illinois are indexed at the Sangamon County Lincoln Library. Both William's and Emma's names may be indexed there. It is most likely, but not certain, that Fannie Beard married Eugene Mott. You can find the index for that record at: http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/marriage.html A copy of the marriage record should be at the University of Illinois at Springfield IRAD. Eugene and Fannie Mott moved to Douglas county, IL. A Fanny Beard died in Douglas County on 5/12/1916. The Abraham Lincoln Historical Library which is also located in Springfield, IL has newspapers for all the counties in IL. Information about searching for Illinois records can be found at: mollx.com Let me know if you have any questions. I do not live near Springfield so cannot look up any information. Good Luck.
